A month ago, Gravel World Championships in Veneto, Marcello a former pro cyclist now a trainer who won the World Gravel Championship in age categories 35-39 wore the rainbow jersey. It’s happy to help Marcello who is a member of the MORTOP Family to wear on Rainbow jersey.
Before the World Championships, you attended the Italian championship in Monferrato and took second place.

What did you do before the World Championships?

“In Monferrato, I was in good shape but in the last climb I was riding with the winner and I had a chain problem...I Lost 40" and I finished second. But I understand that the shape was good and gave me a lot of confidence.”

Have you imagined taking the Rainbow jersey before the championships?

“I think about the rainbow during my training. That was the motivation for the hard work but I never believed that I really could win…”

How do you feel during the race?

“The race was not easy! In the beginning, I rode in the front of the peloton as I knew there was a narrow road after 7 km. Then the climb was hard and at first, I felt the other riders were stronger than me so I thought that I could not win… until the second part I felt really good and I dropped them in the flat. Finally, in the last 30 km, I was with the Italian rider, and I realized I had more legs than him. I attacked in the last climb when I looked back and found he dropped at that moment I won”

Can you share some feedback with us about the bottom bracket?
“The bottom bracket I ride is a Spinning BB BB386 for Sram Dub. I feel the pedal sliding over my expectations, especially after 50 km.” Marcello said.
What has most impressed you while you have ridden on the MORTOP  bottom bracket?

After the race, the clean was also an important part surprised me that the procession became easier than before. Its design can help your bottom bracket always clean and easy to maintain

Do you have any plans for the coming year?

“Next year, I'm looking for the Traka 360 in Spain and The Rift in Iceland, and maybe the Strade Bianche or some Gran Fondo in Italy on the road bike.”
